Dot EU registry EURid has opened an office in Sweden and plans two more, in the Czech Republic and in Italy. Their aim is to increase the level of service on offer to all regions of Europe.
"The Stockholm office and the future regional offices in Prague and Pisa will assume responsibility for the helpdesk support offered to registrars, domain name holders and the general public in their respective local languages," explains EURid.
The Dot EU registry's headquarters are located in Brussels, Belgium. "New support staff has been hired and will gradually take over the support in Swedish, Danish, Finnish and Lithuanian," EURid says. "While English will be supported from both locations, for the time being Latvian and Estonian will continue to be supported from the Brussels headquarters. To ensure high quality support the new team will first be trained and will for a while work in tandem with the Brussels’ office."
The progressive opening of several regional EURid offices highlights Dot EU's incredible success. The European extension already ranks 7th in the world and is the 3rd most popular geographic domain according to Domaines.info's October stats.
