Nothing's official yet, but Paris is apparently ICANN's choice for its June 2008 meeting.
In July, we were the first to report that two European capital cities had volunteered to hold the June 2008 ICANN meeting, Paris (France) and Belgrade (Serbia) .
Our exclusive was confirmed a few days later with ICANN evaluators in Paris to look at possible venues and meet with local officials .
At the time, we reported that the evaluators would then visit Belgrade before submitting their report to the ICANN board's meetings committee for a final recommendation to be made to the ICANN board.
We have now learned that at a meeting held this week, the ICANN board apparently opted for Paris as the venue for its June 2008 meeting.
