Czech registry will introduce a new registration system on October 1, 2007.
CZ NIC, registry for the Czech Republic's .CZ domain, is launching an updated registration system called DSDng which translates as Distributed Next Generation Domain Administration.
The new system, already operational for ENUM domain registrations, is designed to "bring significant simplification of the domain data structure and processes for registering and manipulating domains," according to CZ NIC.
.CZ registrats will be required to migrate to the new system. But CZ NIC also recommends that domain holders check their data. The current .CZ registration system dates back to 1999 but names registered before that time could show incomplete WHOIS data. In the most extreme cases, if email addresses are erroneous, domain owners could find themselves unable to renew names and loosing them.
CZ NIC recommends that all names be checked, even those registered after 1999, and plans a dedicated web page to help domain owners check their data.
