DotAsia appoints Hong-Kong International Arbitration Centre as official dispute resolution provider for the .ASIA Sunrise.
DotAsia has a special process in place to handle potential disputes that may arise from the .ASIA Sunrise and launch.
"The .ASIA launch is a historical moment for the Internet technically, commercially and culturally in Asia," says Edmon Chung, CEO of registry DotAsia. "Ensuring a stable, orderly and secure launch is of the utmost importance for the Organisation. That includes not only the technical platform but also the legal processes supporting the launch."
As such, DotAsia is partnering with Hong-Kong's International Arbitration Center to handle disputes as part of .ASIA's Sunrise Challenge Policy. "We expect the whole dispute resolution process for .ASIA Sunrise challenges to be completed within three months," adds Chung.
While confirming the identity of its Sunrise dispute resolution partner, DotAsia also confirmed that the current Sunrise phases will be extended to January 31, 2008, as revealed exclusively in Domaines.Info a few days ago.
