Relaunch of the Portuguese domain, initially scheduled for a sunrise this month, is delayed.
Currently restricted to local companies and individuals, .PT is due to become unrestricted this year.
The local registry's initial plan was to start the process with a three-month Sunrise for trademark holders on February 1, 2008.
However, the registry seeks to further consultations with the local business community to establish the best possible Sunrise process. Said Sunrise has therefore been postponed.
It may also be shortened as the registry told Domaines.Info this morning that .PT is still scheduled for general release on May 1, 2008. A dispute resolution process will also be introduced at this time.
