The .ASIA Sunrise is now finished. The registry's numbers show there were just over 30,000 applications for .ASIA domains.
While .ASIA's Sunrise auctions are ongoing, the Sunrise period itself is now over. The numbers released by DotAsia show that a total of 30,780 applications were received.
Not unexpectedly, the majority of prior rights claimed are registered in the US or Europe, although a total of 131 countries participated. 30% of rights claimed are from Europe or the States, Australia is 3rd.
Applicants themselves came from 103 different countries. Americans led the way with over 7,000 applications, followed by Germany and the UK (over 2,000 each). France, Australia and Japan all sent in over 1,000 requests.
