A proposed motion to curb domain tasting is being considered by ICANN. Public comments can be made on the proposal until March 28, 2008.
The motion is being proposed by ICANN's GNSO (Generic Names Supporting Organization) and suggests limiting the number of domain names any given registrar is able to get a refund for within the 5-day AGP (Add Grace Period) to 10% of that registrar's monthly registrations or 50 names, whichever is greater.
Once the public comment period has closed, the GNSO council will decide upon a final draft of the motion to be submitted to the ICANN Board.
The motion should be finalised in mid-April as the GNSO Council will discuss it on April 17.
